The Connecticut Section PGA Golf Foundation, Inc. is a non-stock corporation that received approval from the Internal Revenue Service on January 17, 1995, to be classified as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. The Foundation was founded to provide information and services to youth golf and special needs golfers, and to promote the game to the public at large. It is intended to serve golf throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.

Since its inception, one of the primary objectives of the Foundation has been the support of youth golf programs and activities, including the underwriting of the Connecticut Section PGA Junior Golf Association and the PGA Junior Golf TOUR. The Foundation also strives to help fund community programs and initiatives that serve youth golfers, Special Olympians, and physically challenged golfers.

The Connecticut Section, PGA Golf Foundation, Inc. (“Foundation”) 501(c)(3) stated purpose/mission with golf programs targeting examples of the following:

  • Youth golfers age 18 and under
  • Minorities
  • Physically and intellectually challenged individuals

Dollars contributed to the Foundation are completely tax-deductible.

Foundation Charity Classic a Huge Success

Thank you to all who participated and donated

We hope you enjoyed this year's event. Hartford Golf Club is an outstanding facility and plays a great host for us each year. Everyone agreed that the course was in pristine condition.

Those who had a chance to interact with some of the golfers who benefit from the Foundation’s grant programs, must have felt proud of where their investment was going. Those who spoke at dinner from The First Tee of Connecticut, Golfers In Motion, and the Connecticut PGA Junior Golf Association all expressed how golf, and the Foundation, has truly made an impact on their lives.

Without the support of the sponsors and golfers, this event would not be possible. Through their generosity, the Foundation was able to raise $23,000 through the Silent Auction, Raffle, and Max Moola contest alone. These funds will enable us to continue to financially support not only the programs whose benefactors spoke at dinner, but many others.

On behalf of the Connecticut Section PGA Golf Foundation, we want thank  this year's sponsors and participants for making the event a huge success. We look forward to seeing everyone again at next year’s event.

Sincerely,

Gary Reynolds, PGA
