Hartford Women's Open

Top Professional And Amateur Women Compete At City Of Hartford Golf Courses

                           

 

 

 

 

The 3rd annual Hartford Women's Open returned to the City of Hartford's two restored golf courses on Saturday and Sunday, June 9th and 10th.  The event attracted top amateurs and professionals from all over the country.

Round one was played Saturday at Goodwin Park Golf Course followed by round two on Sunday at Keney Park Golf Course.  The format for the event was 36-holes of stroke play competition conducted over the two days.

Kelly Whaley shot the first bogey-free round of her career, a women’s course-record, 5-under-par 65 at Keney Park Golf Course, for a 36-hole total of 133 and a five-stroke victory over fellow amateur Linda Wang.

Eligibility for this event included Women Professionals and Amateurs (No age restrictions) with a handicap index of 18.0 or less.
