DESCRIPTION:The Connecticut Section PGA Golf Foundation\, Inc. was founded in 1995. Since its inception\, the primary objectives of the Foundation have been the promotion of junior golf\, youth development\, diversity in golf\, and physically challenged golf programs within Connecticut and Western Massachusetts. \nAnnually\, over 70 PGA Professionals are the catalysts for fundraising through a variety of activities conducting golf marathons\, Pro-Ams\, Travelers Championship initiatives\, and giving free lessons. \nIn the past 16 years\, the Foundation has awarded nearly\n$950\,000 to numerous deserving organizations and programs. The foundation also operates and financially underwrites both the Connecticut Section PGA Junior Golf Association and the Junior Golf TOUR\, the areas leading player development initiatives. \nSchedule of Events

Amateur partner must be an official (president\, committee chair\, owner\, etc.) of the same PGA recognized facility and have a handicap computed in the GHIN system. \nFORMAT:\nTeam Stableford – Amatuers will receive 100% of their handicap index with a maximum handicap of 18. Professionals will earn points for their gross score while amateurs will earn points based on net scores. Stableford scoring will be based on net scores while professionals will be scored on gross. The Pro-Officer will be a TEAM COMPETITION ONLY; combining the Stableford points earned by each player. \nScoring – Points awarded as follows \n1 point – par\n3 points – birdie\n5 points – eagle\n7 points – double eagle

SUMMARY:Northeast PGA Golf Instructor Conference
DESCRIPTION:The biennial Northeast Instructors Conference will be held on April 23-24\, 2019 from 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM at the Hartford Golf Club. Registrations are accepted for either or both days and golf professionals are encouraged to bring a guest(s).  The event will feature two of golfs Top 100 Teachers\, Martin Hall and Todd Anderson\, along with Michael Napolean\, owner of nationally recognized SuperSpeed Golf. Click here to register. \nMartin Hall turned professional in 1975 and has received numerous awards for his teachings\, including Florida chapter teacher of the year\, Florida section teacher of the year\, and 2008 PGA of America National Teacher of the Year. He is also a Master Professional of the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland. He has appeared in the Golf Magazine Top 100 since 1994\, and in the Golf Digest Top 50 since the list began in 2000. Martin is currently ranked as the number 10 teacher in the country. \nTodd Anderson\, a PGA Professional since 1987\, was the 2010 National PGA Teacher of the Year. He also won the 2009 Georgia Section Teacher of the Year\, the South Florida Section PGA Teacher of the Year for 1999\, and PGA Teacher of the Year award for Southeast Florida in 1995 and 1996\, and was the Horton Smith Award recipient for the South Florida PGA Section in 2003. Currently\, he is ranked 9th on the Americas 50 Greatest Teachers list by Golf Digest and is one of Golf Magazines Top 100 Teachers. \nMichael Napoean\, a PGA Professional\, has been striving to continually innovate modern coaching methodology. Michael believes deeply that truly expert coaches produce lastly positive change with very little input.  In 2012\, Michael began product R&D on an Overspeed training product called the SuperSpeed Golf Training System\, released in the fall of 2014. Since the launch SuperSpeed Golf has become a global brand and a new standard for speed training in the golf swing. Now with over 500 touring professionals actively working with SuperSpeed Golf\, Michael and his team at SuperSpeed are making a distinct impact on the games of golfers all over the World.
