Adam Rainaud Continues Spectacular Play; Wins 2016 National Car Rental Connecticut PGA Assistant Championship

Rainaud earns fourth consecutive Connecticut PGA Assistant Championship (68-69-137)

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (August 30, 2016) – Adam Rainaud of Black Hall Club captured his fourth consecutive and sixth overall Connecticut PGA Assistant Championship at H. Smith Richardson Golf Club on Tuesday. Rainaud continued his impressive play just as he has all summer long, putting together rounds of 68-69-137 in the one-day, 36-hole stroke play competition. This win for Rainaud follows last week’s Connecticut PGA Championship held at Keney Park Golf Course and the Connecticut Open at Woodway Country Club in Darien, Conn. held several weeks ago, where Rainaud also claimed a duo of first place victoires. With his wins at this year’s Connecticut Open and the Connecticut PGA Championship, Adam Rainaud becomes the first ever to win Connecticut’s state open and state PGA Championship in the same year.
