Angela Garvin (72-67-139) Captures Third Straight Connecticut Junior PGA Girls Championship, Finn Boynton (75-67-142) Wins Boys Division Title

Winners Score Identical 3-under Par 67's on Day Two

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (June 28., 2016) – Outstanding play continued at the 2016 Connecticut Junior PGA Championship at The Course at Yale on Tuesday, where 15-year old Angela Garvin fired a 3-under par 67 to defend her previous two section championships, and Finn Boynton of Milford, Conn., who claimed the Boys division title with an identical 3-under par 67. The continuous threat of rain did not scare Garvin nor Boynton, as both players performed spectacularly and claimed automatic bids to the National Junior PGA Championship that will be contested at Wannamoisett Country Club in Rumford, Rhode Island on August 9-12.

Chandler Morris and Elizabeth Andrian Take Home First Place at Ryan Lee Memorial Junior Golf Open

Morris Sets All-Time Tournament Low Record (73-71-144)

BERLIN, Conn. (June 23, 2016) – The 2016 Ryan Lee Memorial Junior Golf Open concluded on Thursday evening, as University of Connecticut commit Chandler Morris finished as the Boys overall champion, and Elizabeth Andrian of Glastonbury, Conn. earned the Girls Division overall title. More than 110 boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 18 competed in the two-day event that began in memory of former junior golf TOUR member, Ryan Lee.

Jordan Lintz Claims Second Place Overall with two-day total of 2-under Par

HARTFORD, Conn. (June 19, 2016) – Dani Mullin carried her spectacular play into championship Sunday, carding a 2-under par 68 in Round Two of the Hartford Women’s Open at Keney Park Golf Course. The West Islip, N.Y. native entered day two action with a two-shot lead after tallying a 5-under par 65 at Goodwin Park Golf Course in round one. The two day total adds to a final score of a 7-under par 133, as Mullin claimed the first ever Hartford Women’s Open championship.

Fifty-six women and girls ranging between ages eleven and seventy-one that represented eleven different states hit the links on what was a beautiful sunny day in Connecticut.

Wyckoff Country Club Team Wins Connecticut Section PGA Pro-Officer

2016 Connecticut Section PGA Hall of Fame Class Announced

WATERFORD, Conn. (June 16, 2016) – The Connecticut Section PGA Pro-Officer was held Thursday at Great Neck Country Club in Waterford. PGA Professionals from across the Connecticut Section PGA played host to their facility Officers for a fun, stableford event.

 

The Wyckoff Country Club team, comprised of PGA Professional Tony Kelley and officer Tami Kelley took first place in the team contest by carding 56 points. In second place with 47 points were the Ellington Ridge Country Club team of PGA Professional Kyle Bilodeau and officer Rick Conti.

Rainaud Holds on to Day One Lead and Captures Spring PGA Stroke Play Championship - Earns Exemption in 2016 Travelers Championship

Defending Champion Kyle Bilodeau Finishes in Second Place at 5-Under Par

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (June 8, 2016) – Adam Rainaud of Black Hall Club captured the 2016 Spring PGA Stroke Play title this afternoon at the Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass., after shooting an impressive 9-under 63 yesterday (ties course record) and a 1-under par 71 in round two. The rounds combine for a two day total of a 10-under, 134. Despite the windy conditions, Rainaud battled through to capture his second Spring PGA Stroke Play Championship.
