Connecticut Section PGA Golf Foundation Awards $26,000 of Financial Grants
SOUTH GLASTONBURY, Conn. (June 1, 2023) – The Connecticut Section PGA Golf Foundation announced their 2023 financial grant award recipients today. There are 13 diverse golf programs serving Military Veterans, youth golf and diverse populations.
Among the recipients of this year’s awards are First Tee – Connecticut; Special Olympics of Connecticut; Mount Sinai John R. Suisman Golfers in Motion Rehabilitation Program; the Veteran Women’s LPGA Golf Program; and a variety of junior golf opportunities throughout Connecticut and Western Massachusetts.
In addition to the financial awards, the PGA Foundation underwrites six six-week sessions of PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) and the Connecticut PGA Junior Golf Association and TOUR, consisting of 30 events and serving 350 boys and girls.
The PGA Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in the past 20 years to deserving golf programs serving the charitable.
The Foundation’s purpose is to grow the game and positively impact the lives of youth, Military Veterans, and diverse populations by enabling access to PGA Professionals and the game of golf.
