Mike Martin and Mark Farrell Lead Senior Connecticut PGA Championship after Round One

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (August 12, 2019) – Defending Champion Mike Martin of Tashua Knolls Golf Course and Mark Farrell of H. Smith Richardson Golf Course each shot 1-under par 69 today at Yale Golf Course. Martin and Farrell take a one-stroke lead into tomorrow’s final round in the 67^th Senior Connecticut PGA Championship.

Fran Marrello of Canaan Country Club is a six-time champion who shot 70 and is in third place alone. Kevin Giancola of Golf Quest and four-time champion Jack McConachie of Oronoque Country Club each shot 72.

The top four finishers if properly entered advance to the 31st Senior PGA Professional Championship, on October 3-6 at Omni Barton Creek Resort and Spa in Austin, Texas.

The final round starting times tomorrow are moved up to 7:00 AM and will go off both tees.
