The Connecticut Section PGA and East Hartford Brewing Announce Ten Penny Ale, the Official Beer of the Connecticut PGA
SOUTH GLASTONBURY, Conn. (May 11, 2022) – The Connecticut Section PGA today toasted to a new partnership with East Hartford Brewing, a Connecticut-based brewery formed in 2020 that resurrected the history filled Old Burnside Brewery brand and their widely popular craft beer, Ten Penny Ale.
By way of a co-branding collaboration, Ten Penny Ale, craft-brewed to the original recipe, becomes the Official Beer of the Connecticut PGA, and East Hartford Brewing becomes the Official Brewery. Through this partnership, the mission is simple: Deliver a menu of crisp and refreshing beers to golf courses, retailers, and restaurants throughout Connecticut leading with “the Beer Drinker’s Ale,” Ten Penny Ale.
“Ten Penny Ale is a smooth, amber-hued mellow version of a Scottish Ale,” explained Jonathan Hoenig, Managing Partner for East Hartford Brewing. “It’s the perfect ale for golf enthusiasts; it’s easy to drink and it honors golf’s Scottish origins.”

During the 2022 season, East Hartford Brewing will be supporting the Connecticut PGA’s Pro-Pro Series, the PGA Pro-Officer, the 40th Connecticut Senior Open, and the PGA Charity Classic that is hosted by the Hartford Golf Club.
