It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Dick Bierkan.
Dick was a cherished member of our PGA family and an icon in our golfing community serving as the Head Golf Professional at Lyman Orchards Golf Club for 42 years.
Dick’s dedication to the game and... to his fellow professionals was evident to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. His contributions have left an indelible mark on Connecticut golf, both on and off the course.

The Connecticut Section PGA is one of 41 sections chartered that together comprise the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA of America). All of the state of Connecticut, with the exception of territory south and west of a line between the cities of Danbury and Bridgeport, and the western half of the state of Massachusetts, except for a small northwestern corner of the state, are the boundaries for the section.
